The exhibition On The Wall/On The Paper, organized by KABEGIWA, is composed of two different elements. One is the walls in the exhibition space where the works of Katsuhiro Saiki and Nobutaka Aozaki are exhibited and the other is the flyer for the exhibition designed by Tadao Kawamura as a reconstruction of the simultaneous exhibition.
The exhibition attempts to examine the idea of printed matter as an exhibition site. The roles of printed matters associated with exhibitions as promotion, documentation, and archive, are questioned as the flyer for the exhibition is exhibited parallel to the art works in the exhibition space. Based on this idea, the exhibition will be the outcome of cooperation of two artists and a designer.
